Universal Free School Meals
Children can choose between a school dinner provided by Education Catering (formerly known as HC3S) or they can have a packed lunch brought from home. Children can have a mixture of both.
Free school meals are available to all children in Year R, Year 1 and Year 2. School meals are cooked on site by Education Catering; menus are forwarded to parents, but are also available from the School Office and are on display in classroom windows. At Peel Common we operate a healthy eating policy and we have a number of children in school with allergies so please see the information sheet below for details of what to provide for lunch.
The school provides all children with a free water bottle when they start school and free milk for children up to the age of five / in Year R. Parents can purchase milk for their child after the age of 5 by registering with Cool Milk. Fruit is also provided to all children daily.
